Former Arapahoe County Sheriff allegedly tried to trade meth for sex

Former Arapahoe County Sheriff Patrick Sullivan was arrested today on charges of dealing methamphetamine. He is being held on a $250,000 bond in the jail that bears his name, the Patrick J. Sullivan Jr. Detention Facility. He was sheriff from 1984 until his retirement in 2002. In a press release, the Sheriff’s Department said investigators received information earlier this month that learned Sullivan had arranged to exchange meth to a man for “a sexual encounter.”  (The Denver Post)
